BOSTON (AP) — The union representing British soccer players will announce on Tuesday the first comprehensive protocol for preventing the brain disease CTE, expanding the heightened concern over concussions to include the damage that can be caused by the less forceful blows from heading the ball.

The 2028 Summer Olympics are coming to San Diego. Snapdragon Stadium — home of San Diego FC and Wave FC — was one of six venues announced on Tuesday to host Olympic soccer matches. Columbus is one of seven U.S. cities selected to host Olympic soccer matches, joining New York, Nashville, St. Louis, San José and San Diego. The sites were chosen from existing stadiums, many of them purpose-built for soccer, allowing LA28 organizers to stage a national tournament without constructing new permanent facilities.
