NASA is now targeting March for the earliest possible launch of its historic Artemis II lunar mission, which will send four astronauts into deep space for the first time since the Apollo program ended more than five decades ago.
NASA’s Artemis II mission will study the Moon and astronaut health. Four astronauts will observe the lunar surface while participating in human research to support future deep space exploration.
The Artemis Accords aim to guide how countries cooperate in civilian exploration of the Moon, Mars, and other celestial bodies.
The ESSCA II contract will deliver engineering and science services for NASA centers, including Marshall Space Flight Center.
